He was angry, Shepard was right though, he needed to let go of his anger, but how could he? Jacob wanted to let go, he should let go of what his father had done, but those memories will always be there. What those people had gone through, and what they will never get back. He sighed, nodding his head. “You’re right Shepard. I need to just push pass what happened.” he paused looking back at the closed terminal. “I buried the man I called father years ago, those memories I’ll keep. That other man, he’ll rot for years with what he’s done.”  Jacob felt a bit better talking to the commander, her words helped a bit, but it would still take time. “Did you need anything else Commander?”

     She shook her head to indicate that she didn’t need anything, thinking that it was best to give him his space if he wanted to be alone. She took a step backwards but hesitated to turn away from him. “Ah, fuck it. You want to get trashed and pretend the punching bag down in the gym is our dysfunctional parent figure? I mean, we could go the healthier way and write letters about our feelings that we don’t intend to post, but my way is much more fun. And there’s rum.” She tilted her head to one side and offered a smile, eyebrows raised in anticipation of his response.
